Another Logistics Specialist at Stonebridge
A national logistics specialist has chosen Stonebridge Cross business park near Droitwich for a major new storage and distribution operation.Worcestershire-based TM Logistics handles distribution and warehousing for many of the country’s best-known manufacturers and has selected a brand new 32,000 sq ft facility at Stonebridge Cross for its latest operating centre.
The company has agreed an initial five year lease, with a break after three years. The site has been developed by Birmingham based Stoford Developments and AXA/REIM as part of its speculative SC100 scheme at Stonebridge Cross.
“This site is ideally placed to meet our needs and those of our customers,” said Grahame Taylor, executive director of TM Logistics. “It offers excellent transport links, with easy access to the motorway network and is central to our national fleet distribution activity. Its rural location also has the knock-on benefit of reduced congestion at peak times of the day.”
Mr Taylor added: “We’ve been impressed with the quality of the development and it offers a superb working environment from which we are confident we’ll be able to grow our business,”
The details of the deal were key to its success, according to agent Andy Hartwright of Savills:
“The nature of the distribution business, particularly involving third party logistics providers, calls for particular flexibility. TML was seeking not only the right property but the right business terms. Fortunately Stoford and AXA/REIM were able to deliver this.”
On behalf of Stoford and AXA/REIM, Jason Adderley said: “We are very pleased to conclude this important deal with TM Logistics. This is the largest unit in our most recent speculative phase at Stonebridge Cross and we now have just a single 20,000 sq ft unit left in this part of the scheme.”
