The Stoford group of companies is seeking to recruit an ambitious and appropriately qualified professional to join our Construction Project Management team.

In the next year alone the team will be responsible for the development of over 1 million sq ft of new commercial space for Stoford Developments, and planning consent has recently been received for a number of exciting residential-led mixed use schemes with Stoford Living.

Stoford is rapidly expanding its activities in the commercial and residential markets and will continue an aggressive programme of site acquisition, speculative and pre-let development. The company is currently dealing with projects across England and Wales.

Project Manager

Overall Purpose of Position
Project management of the pre and post contract development and delivery of schemes.

Duties and Responsibilities
Your normal responsibilities are to manage and oversee the projects team in the procurement and delivery of all the construction/refurbishment projects undertaken by Stoford Limited and its associated company’s.

This will include the following:

• Understand and define the project’s objectives. Understand and communicate commercial aims of the project and business plan objectives.

• Review, input, and management of construction element of appraisals.

• Procurement, management and appointment of the consulting teams.

• Undertake overall project strategic programming

• Overview of statutory obligations, health & safety/CDM regulations, and implementation of due diligence review.

• Liaison with occupiers/tenants/end users to establish construction scheme parameters.

• Understanding of building contract and legislation.

• Selection of contractors, procurement and delivery of building contract.

• Understanding of current building practice.

• Oversee the change control procedure for building contracts.

• Continuously monitor the schemes, reporting on finance, progress, potential problems, and opportunities.

• Other duties consistent with your position or skills.
