On Site at Vale Park West
Birmingham-based Stoford Developments has reported strong interest in the first phase of development that has commenced at Vale Park West, the 40-acre extension to Vale Park in Evesham.
Ground works are already under way for the development of three new roads into the site and the construction of the first phase of four units comprising around 150,000 sq ft and ranging in size from 18,000 to 75,000 sq ft.
Considerable interest is being shown in the 75,000-sq ft shed, the first element of the new 850,000-sq ft speculative office, industrial and warehouse scheme, which will be ready for occupation in Summer 2008. The three further units are scheduled to be complete by August.
Stoford acquired the 40-acre site in association with LaSalle Investment Management from Cirrus Properties and Barberry Developments as one of its largest land transactions in recent years.
Vale Park benefits from a superb strategic location fronting the A46 Evesham by pass giving direct access to Junction 9 of the M5 to the south, the M40 to the north-east, and the Junction 3 of the M42 to the north via the A435.
Jason Adderley, Stoford Director, said: “We are receiving strong interest in the first phase at Vale Park from prospective customers looking for a distribution centre at what is one of the last remaining volume sites available in this part of the M5 corridor.”
He added: “We expect the development to mirror our success at our other Worcestershire sites at Stonebridge Cross, Droitwich and Ravensbank, Redditch.”
Industrial agents for Vale Park West are Alder King and Atisreal, with the Worcester office of Harris Lamb dealing with prospective office occupiers.
