Stoford Appointed to Flagship Office Park

Regenco, the Urban Regeneration Company for Sandwell with Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council have appointed Stoford Developments to take forward the development of a multi-million pound flagship office park in West Bromwich.

It is anticipated that the 300,000 sq ft Grade A Office Park, All Saints, will generate over £70 million of new investment and over 2,500 new jobs for the region.

BT has taken 120,000 sq ft of accommodation, 45,000 sq ft will be occupied by BT/ Liberata, the Partnership announced earlier this month. This will create some 450 jobs within the £35 million show piece office building.

BT Liberata will provide a range of corporate support services, including ICT, HR Procurement and Finance.

Karen Walker, Chief Executive of Regenco, said: “This is an incredibly important moment for West Bromwich, real regeneration in action. We have been working hard with the Council to open up All Saints because it has such great potential as a top quality gateway site for the town.

“We want the best here; the All Saints development brief reflects the most highly thought of, office schemes in the country and that’s what we’ll bring to West Bromwich. We are thrilled to have Stoford on board and that BT is endorsing our vision.”

David Brown, Development Director of Stoford, said, “We are very proud to have been selected to deliver this hugely important regeneration project as we have felt for some time that West Bromwich town centre, located at the heart of the West Midlands can become a real force to be reckoned with.

“We are looking forward to working with Regenco, Sandwell MBC and BT in the delivery of this high quality office scheme and are proud to be involved in making this first major new office scheme happen, the first in the town for some considerable years.”

Council leader Cllr Bill Thomas said: "This landmark deal with blue chip companies will help transform Sandwell by creating new jobs and will also act as a catalyst for further development. I'm sure this prime business location will attract further high quality businesses into the Borough."

The BT building is the first of between five and eight Grade A office buildings proposed for the site. Each will be built to the highest environmental standards, targeting BREEAM ‘Excellent’ accreditation and taking on board similar criteria for the surrounding public realm. The high profile site is owned by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC) with whom Regenco worked closely with to bring forward the land for commercial development.
