Stoford Appoints First Female Project Manager
Birmingham-based Stoford Developments has appointed 26-year-old Nicola Spears as its first female project manager.
Nicola, who lives near Coventry, has moved to the Lancaster House offices of the leading commercial developers from a similar role with Mace, where she managed the £30 million refurbishment of the city’s Baskerville House.
A keen runner and gym enthusiast, who took part in this year’s Coventry Half Marathon, Nicola first joined Laing O’Rourke in the Midlands as a quantity surveyor.
Born and educated at Glossop in Derbyshire, Nicola gained a first-class honours degree in commercial management and quantity surveying from UMIST.
She is currently working on Stoford’s mixed-use fire station and residential scheme at Parkside in Cambridge, a speculative warehouse development at Thorne in Yorkshire, and an office refurbishment at Elmbridge Court near Cheltenham.
Nicola said: “l am delighted to have joined one of the Midlands’ top commercial property firms and look forward to boosting its rapidly growing portfolio of schemes.”
