Stoford Launch Ludlow Eco Park
The first scheme at the environmentally friendly Ludlow Eco Business Park has been launched by Stoford Developments.
Alliance Court has been created in partnership with Advantage West Midlands Rural Regeneration Zone and South Shropshire District Council. With an estimated 30 to 40 per cent reduction in energy costs, 90 per cent of Alliance Court has already been let or sold.
Tony Nash, Director at Stoford, one of the Midland's leading property development companies said: "Staff welfare is obviously high on any business' agenda and we believe that this building makes a significant contribution towards this.
“With its excellent local air quality, very low CO2 emissions, good insulation and openable windows allowing staff to regulate their own working conditions, Alliance Court is a trail-blazer in the County."
This approach has earned Alliance Court an impressive Building Research Establishment's Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) excellent rating - the gold standard for design and construction against which all other buildings are judged.
Peter Pawsey, Executive Chair of the Rural Regeneration Zone said: "We are delighted to be able to invest in an office development such as this. The environmentally friendly design of the new buildings not only helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions but sets the standards for others to follow. For this reason, the Rural Regeneration Zone has chosen to locate its operations at Alliance Court."
The development boasts low energy heating and hot water with highest possible efficiency from its boilers, good water management and water leakage detection, low CO2 emissions and optimum insulation. The build materials were sourced locally with transportation energy kept to a minimum and a park and ride public transport system will make staff journeys greener and more pleasant.
Additional office units are also being constructed at Ludlow Eco Business Park by Sherpa Properties and the Rural Regeneration Zone plan to build an Enterprise Centre for small and medium sized businesses as part of a network being developed in partnership with flexible workspace providers Evans Easyspace.
