The strategy includes insulation and air permeability in excess of Building Regulation requirements, solar shading through window orientation, high specification glazing, deep window reveals and vertical brie soleil.
The mechanical and electrical specifications have been carefully considered to minimise energy usage and a metering strategy for energy use allows regular monitoring.
Renewable technologies for solar hot water and photo voltaics are also being considered.
