LaSalle Investment Management is one of the world’s leading real estate investment management firms, with over 625 staff globally managing approximately £22bn of property assets. Within the UK, LaSalle has an established platform of 185 staff based in offices in London and Edinburgh, and currently manage £6.7bn of assets through 18 separate accounts and five pooled funds, investing both directly and indirectly in all major property types. LaSalle’s overall UK house performance has outperformed the IPD Universe over one, three, five and ten years and since inception.
Created in June 2006 the LaSalle UK Ventures Fund is LaSalle's flagship opportunistic/value-add investment vehicle in the UK, with approximately £1bn to invest across all geographical areas and market sectors. The Fund's strategy will be executed through actively pursuing non-core properties which can be developed, refurbished, redeveloped, repositioned or re-classified and subsequently sold to core buyers over a 6 year investment horizon. Part of this strategy is to leverage LaSalle's relationships and pursue joint ventures with key partners who will enhance the Fund's ability to secure opportunities in both established and emerging market sectors. To date the Fund has already created partnerships with established developers such as Stoford and Kenmore, and has invested over £100m since the start of 2007.
