Stoford and Staffordshire and West Midlands Probation Trust have celebrated the topping out of a new, two story office scheme at Castlegate Business Park in Dudley.

To mark the construction milestone, Dominic Stokes, Director at Birmingham property specialist Stoford, presented Adrian McNulty, Head of Dudley Probation, with an engraved silver trowel.

Benniman Construction Group was appointed to build and fit out the 10,000 sq ft development, to be known as Hope House, which is due for completion by the end of 2013.

This is the second scheme developed by Stoford on the site, owned by the Homes and Communities Agency, and follows the completion of a 63-bedrom Premier Inn hotel and restaurant earlier this year.

The project has been funded by AC Lloyd which will retain the completed development within its portfolio.

Dominic Stokes at Stoford said: “Following the successful completion of our first development at Castlegate for Premier Inn, we’re delighted to be celebrating another major milestone with our partners on this second scheme, and look forward to handing the offices over to their new occupiers on time.”

Adrian McNulty, Head of Dudley Probation, said: “We are looking forward to moving into this purpose-built office, where we will continue the good work that has contributed towards Dudley becoming one of the top performing probation units in the country at reducing reoffending.”

Des Wynne, Director of A C Lloyd said “It’s great to see this scheme nearing completion. The offices complement the existing development at Castlegate Business Park well and support the continued development in this area of Dudley.”
