Commercial property developer Stoford has unveiled a portfolio of 18 industrial and warehouse development projects totaling almost 10 million sq ft.
Leading industrial agents gathered at Mosimann’s restaurant in London where Stoford joint managing directors Dan Gallagher and Matt Burgin revealed details of the 700-acre development pipeline.
The impressive portfolio includes projects right across England, including London, Bristol and Bournemouth in the south, and Thame, Worcester, Coventry and Wednesbury in the Midlands. In the north, Stoford has projects in Liverpool, Manchester and Wakefield.
Founded in 1996, the company specialises in occupier led pre-let commercial property developments on a national basis. It has grown significantly and has completed commercial developments totaling well in excess of 10 million sq ft across a diverse range of sectors, throughout the UK, such as industrial, office, retail and hotels.
Dan said: “Stoford is in a strong position to take advantage of the upturn in the market, maintaining a strong focus on the industrial and logistics sector. The facts speak for themselves – our current portfolio of industrial and warehouse projects extends to 18 sites, amounting to 700 acres, capable of delivering 9,675,000 sq ft of space on a nationwide basis.
“Our innovative approach to site and contract procurement has ensured that Stoford remains highly competitive and is able to deliver a quality product on time and within budget.
“We have been trusted to develop for some of the UK’s largest financial institutions and occupiers such as Standard Life, AXA, LaSalle, BlackRock, GE Capital, Severn Trent Water, Npower, Admiral Insurance, Tesco and The Co-operative, together with Government departments such as HMRC, DSA, DEFRA and The Home Office.”
He added: “We’re in the very fortunate position of being involved in these 18 projects which are either about to start or which are at various stages of the planning process. It looks as though we are going to have an extremely busy time ahead and, of course, we welcome and will embrace that challenge.
“Having so many projects in the warehouse and distribution sector demonstrates a major upturn in activity – whether it be build-to suit or speculative development – which is very good news indeed for us. With the shortage of available buildings and land in this sector we are well placed to take advantage of the strong tenant demand and record investment yields.”
Agents from Colliers International, Cushman and Wakefield, DTZ, CBRE, Knight Frank, Lambert Smith Hampton, Jones Lang LaSalle, Savills, and Strutt & Parker were among those attending the event. Former England rugby captain Martin Corry was guest speaker.
Stoford is a leading specialist in warehouse and distribution development. It has delivered over 10 million sq ft of pre-let development and in 2015 will have more than 1 million sq ft of space under construction throughout the UK.
